Shannon at sunset in Montana

My Story

Hi, I’m Shannon!

I started Wild Reverie to help small businesses and makers after I struggled with wearing all of the hats in my previous life at a 9 to 5; I simply didn’t have the time in my workday to do it all, including handling the photography, the part of my job I loved most. I realized that there was a genuine need for product photography and I love being behind the camera so this was a no-brainer!

I have had a camera in my hand since I was a little kid, my first camera was a neon pink film camera. I have worked as a ski resort photographer (both summer and winter!) and almost majored in photography in college before landing in fashion design. I went to college at the Art Institute of Seattle and worked in design after I graduated. After some time, I transitioned into a merchandising position with a catalog where I found myself on photography sets working with some amazing crews, I loved the process! Eventually I had my fix of the city and made the move back home to Montana.

Montana truly is the most incredible playground. I am so fortunate to have grown up with Glacier National Park in my backyard, spending the summers on the lake, camping, and hiking and the winters skiing. I absolutely love taking product photos but don’t be surprised to see some scenics and landscapes from my adventures pop up from time to time.

As I mentioned, I juggled a lot of responsibility in my former job but the photography was where my passion was. I very quickly realized that I could not possibly be the only person struggling to find someone to take high quality photos that delivered results and helped to not only increase sales for the business but built trust with our customer base. In today’s digital age, photography is one of the most important investments you can make in your business. You will use photos on your website, social media, in email campaigns and everywhere in-between, iPhone photos can get you by but they definitely don’t do your business justice.

Are you ready to level up your business and take some of the load off your full plate so you can focus on the parts of your business that excite you? Do you want to free up time in your schedule so you can spend time doing the things you love? I have photography plans carefully curated to help you grow your business and in return, your bottom line and I’m here for you. I’d love to work with you, feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or if you’re ready to dive in and get going!
